Author and Founder of A Woman's Promise

Meet Alexis Brantley

I created A Woman's Promise during a challenging season of depression, grief, and confusion. I sometimes describe it as my baby that I was carrying and then birthed. It started with my decision to leave behind everything and everybody I knew in South Carolina. For a long time, I struggled to understand who I truly was, as I was often focused on external validation and societal expectations. So I relocated to Florida on a journey of self-discovery.

Throughout that transition, I documented my experiences that led me to a better understanding of myself and to moving toward fulfilling my purpose. In doing so, I also thought about other women and girls who may be going through similar seasons of growth and change. This inspired the creation of A Woman's Promise. In the midst of these seasons, it's important to remember that God's unwavering favor is already upon us. Yet, far too often, we don't embrace it or favor ourselves. So that is where the promise to F.A.V.O.R. oneself came in. F.A.V.O.R. is an acronym and a call to action: Finding your Purpose, Appreciating Yourself, Valuing your Time, Obeying your Rules, and Reaching your Goals.
